Both founder and agent, Martin has been a part of AIM since its inception in 1982. He currently works in the Orange and San Diego Counties.
Martin Wildgoose started AIM, Inc. in 1982, shortly after arriving in the 1965 Sunbeam Tiger he literally emigrated in, The car was shipped out to Newark, New Jersey from Southport England when Martin flew out in 1980. He then drove it across the states in a journey that took nearly two weeks because of a number of mechanical failures, and an element of sight seeing as he crossed the continent.
Having left a nine-year job and sold his house, Martin started working as a representative for Audiovox in the San Fernando Valley. Martin was soon promoted to West Coast Regional Sales Manager for Audiovox F&I products. This new office allowed Martin to travel the 10 western states at the expense and for the benefit of Audiovox.
Martin later resigned and became a field representative for Jerry Ferrari's fledgling General Warranty Corporation when he recognized the significance of extended service agreements to the finance office and the dealership. During his time there he started AIM, Incorporated to provide a range of products and training for the finance office. Although Martin originally anticipated a corporate career, he has not been unhappy with his 23 years in the field. Martin drives an average of 50,000 miles a year. That number multiplied by over two decades behind the wheel in the field puts him at well over 1,115,000 miles on the road since he created AIM, Inc. and over 1.4 million miles since beginning as a field representative in 1974. Needless to say, he has run more than a few cars into the ground.
At home Martin helps raise a few avocados on a grove he purchased many years ago and salvaged from years of neglect and drought. He also tries to help his wife of 20 years to raise three children: Tammee, Timmy and Tommy. They have and continue to collectively raise three cats, three dogs and a variety of other pets over the years. On the weekends Martin can be found in and around Temecula riding a road or mountain bike or training for a 26 mile marathon. Martin has run in 21 such marathons. Three of his favorite include the Catalina Island Marathon of 2001, the New York Marathon of 1995 and the 1996 Carlsbad Marathon in San Diego in which he achieved his fastest time ever of three hours and one minute.
Martin's remaining goals in life include running the Boston Marathon and getting all three of his kids through college!
